Overnight Home Stay Program in 2011

Welcome Party


Noda International Association carried out the overnight home stay program this year too. Seven foreign exchange students, who are studying at universities or colleges in Chiba prefecture, stayed at ordinary homes in Noda city from August 6 to 7.
They experienced a Japanese home life and enjoyed participating in Tanabata dancing parade in Noda summer festival in the evening of August 6.
They had a good time to interchange with their host families.


Prior to the program, NIA invited the students and their host families to the welcome party. We did welcoming addresses from Mr. Morimoto (GM of International Friendship Dept.), Mr. Higashihara (President of NIA), Mr. Nemoto (Mayor of Noda City), and Mr. Miyauchi (Chairman of Noda Educational Board).

All attendants had a pleasant time at a buffet style lunch party.

Owing to the nuclear power plant accident, many foreign students returned to their countries in this summer holidays. At first we were worried about the enforcement of the program, but consequently we could receive 7 students.

Welcome Party


Noda International Association carried out the overnight home stay program this year too. Fourteen foreign exchange students, who are studying at universities or colleges in Chiba prefecture, stayed at ordinary homes in Noda city from August 7 to 8.
They experienced a Japanese home life and enjoyed participating in Tanabata dancing parade in Noda summer festival in the evening of August 7.
They had a good time to interchange with their host families.



Prior to the program, NIA invited 14 exchange students and 14 host families to the welcome party where they all met first and talked with each other.
The welcome party was held at NPO support center on August 7 (Saturday).

The exchange students were from Taiwan (5 persons), China(1), Korea(1), Hong Kong(1), Bhutan(1), Mongolia(1), India(1), Brazil(1), Egypt(1) and USA(1).

We had fun playing Hukuwarai game (a funny face game) in which
we put a white bag over head and drew a picture of the face.

It was a very delightful party to talk and play games with exchange students from various countries.
After finishing the party, they enjoyed participating in Tanabata dancing parade in the evening.
Overnight Home Stay Program

Noda International Association carried out the overnight home stay program this year too.
The foreign exchange students, who are studying at universities or colleges in Chiba, stayed at ordinary homes in Noda city from August 8 to 9.
They experienced Japanese home lives and could promote an interchange with their host families.



Prior to the program, NIA invited 17 exchange students and 17 host families to the welcome party where they all met first and talked with each other.
The Welcome Party was held at NPO Support Center on Aug. 8 (Sat.).
The exchange students were from China, Korea, Taiwan, and Malaysia.


We had welcoming addresses from Mr. Matsumura (President of NIA), Mr. Nemoto (Mayor of Noda City), and Mr. Miyauchi (Chairman of Noda Educational Board).

After a pleasant talk, the exchange students stated why they wanted to join the home stay program and the host families explained what they were planning to do for today and tomorrow.

The exchange students and their host families could have a very delightful experience.
Some students participated in Tanabata Dancing Parade in the evening of Aug.8, and others walked around the sights of Noda city with their host families on Aug.9.
The experiences they had during their home stay will be a nice memory of the interchange in Japan.
NIA'S OVERNIGHT HOMESTAY PROGRAM
The Welcome Party was held
on Aug. 2nd(Sat.), 11:00p.m. thru 1:00p.m.
at NPO Support Center.


Noda International Association carried out the overnight home stay program this year too, for foreign exchange students who are studying at universities or colleges in Chiba Prefecture to stay 2 days (8/2&8/3) in ordinary Japanese families here in Noda city, so that they could experience the real Japanese family lives.

Prior to the program, NIA invited 20 exchange students and 18 host families to the welcome party where they all introduced themselves and were acquainted each other. The exchange students were from various countries, such as China, Taiwan, Korea, U.S.A. India, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and so on.
