Tanabata Dancing Parade in Noda
The 60th summer festival in Noda was held on Aug.6 and 7.
We participated in Tanabata dancing parade in the evening of Aug.6.
Staff of NIA, students of Japanese language class, foreign exchange students and their host families of our home stay program enjoyed dancing in the parade.

A student of Japanese language class and a guest of home stay program were delighted to parade with holding a traditional hand-carry lantern.
Foreign exchange students are dressed well in Yukata

After the parade, we took a picture of all of us together.

Tanabata Dancing
The 59th summer festival in Noda, Tanabata dancing, was held on August 7 and 8.
Foreign exchange students and their host families of our home stay program, staff of NIA and students of Japanese language class participated in Tanabata dancing parade and enjoyed dancing in the evening of August 7.
Twelve groups competed with each other in the contest and NIA group was awarded a prize, Tanosikatta de shou, for good performance in the dancing parade.

We enjoyed various events, Tanabata decorations, delicious food stalls and delightful dancing parade.

The dancing parade for one hour and a half was delightful, wasn't it?
There were many foreigners who wore yukata

Participated in the 57th Noda Tanabata Dancing Parade
from 7:00 to 9:00 in the evening of Aug.2

Members of NIA including foreign exchange students of our home stay program enjoyed dancing in the parade wearing yukata (simple summer kimono). Many people from Kikkoman Co., from City Hall, various women organization, and other citizens were dancing and paraded the main street of the town in yukata.
Everybody was enjoying dancing in Noda samba rhythm.

Along the street, there were many night stalls and booths, and colorful paper decorations for tanabata festival standing tall all the way.
